Audua is based in Marietta, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta).

Audua is the brainchild of Mark Zachmann. Mark was formerly founder and CEO of ZSoft Corporation, the company best known for its PC Paintbrush product. A Windows version of that product morphed into the Paint program bundled with Windows. ZSoft won more major awards than any other company its size during Mark's tenure there. In 1992 ZSoft was sold to a subsidiary of Mattel.
